... And that's a crying shame! ![]() I launch this topic so you list the bands which shown a promising future but only released one album... Let's not forget them! ![]() ![]() And I'll start will Blind Fury whose Out Of Reach album, released in 1985, was a cool NWOBHM album that sadly never has a successor. ![]() Also, there's Blind Illusion's The Sane Asylum (1988) which was a very nice thrash album with a progressive twist. Les Claypool and Lary Lalonde later went to form Primus letting this promising debut the only work from the band. |

Noenum - Black Esoteric Evangelium They released this amazing Ep, and one other two song demo, but its short as all hell and rough, I consider the EP to be the only proper release. |

Contra Ignem Fatuum - one EP that's absolutely amazing, and a demo that's impossible to find (been talk of a re-release for about five years now) and that's it. Bastards, make more music. |

Some side projects. Abstrakt Algebra - Abstrakt Algebra Power, and very good one, with Leif Edling, and some other former Candlemass members, with Mats Levén at vocals Demonoid - Riders Of The Apocalypse Death, with the core of Therion. Doctor Butcher - Doctor Butcher Jon Oliva and Chris Caffery returning to old Savatage sound. |

Legend- From the Fjords ![]() Noodles knows what I'm talking about! http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=17660 Fucking awesome proggy old school metal band from the late 1970s. The album is out of print, but go here: http://www.myspace.com/legendfromamerica or here, for the whole record, if you can put up with .rar files http://vibrationsofdoom.com/test/Legend3.html |

Indeed a great album, purchased it second-hand last year. Never knew they didn't had any other albums, I didn't really look further after the one I purchased. |

definitely agree with Legend. Blind Fury is an odd inclusion since most of the band did albums with other vocalists under Satan or Pariah. lots of bands from the late 60s/early 70s seemed to do this, like Cargo, Night Sun, Far Out, Flower Travellin Band, Morgen... ok that's all i can think of. edit: wait FTB have albums other than Satori that i always forget about |

metal-archives says this: Quote: Blind Fury was formed by members of Angel Witch, including mastermind Kevin Heybourne, and vocalist Lou Taylor. This lineup recorded their first demo before dissolving. At this point, Taylor joined Satan (UK), replacing Brian Ross. He managed to convince the band to change their name to Blind Fury, and they recorded a lone LP under this name before parting ways with Taylor and becoming Satan again.
then Satan recorded one more album with Michael Jackson, before changing their name to Pariah and recording 2 more albums with him, then a third album with a completely different guy. |

I meant more details about the bands you listed... ![]() I know the story of Blind Fury/Satan/Pariah... And I included Blind Fury because only 1 album was released with that name on the cover... A great album too! |

Another Victor record.... really? Geddy's solo album is one of my favorite albums he's been a part of. Definitely better than half of Rush's catalog. |

oh i was wondering which you meant Night Sun are like a hybrid of Deep Purple (Hammond organs!) and Black Sabbath (intense riffs!) and an amazing vocalist. Mournin' was the only thing they released and then none of their members ever did much else musically :( Cargo are a French rock band similar to Wishbone Ash but with better vocals and the realization that epic guitar jamming is by far their strong suit. Their s/t has unfortunate cover art that basically depicts the band's name... but all four songs are awesome; been madly in love with "Summerfair" since i heard it. Far Out are a Japanese psych band who wrote 2 20 minute long songs with sitars, Floyd guitar solos and other hippy stuff like that. Morgen are a catchy psychedelic rock band who just write great songs that are really addictive. also i just remember Gospel. The Moon is a Dead World is one of my favourite albums and the best combination of prog and punk i've heard. murky and hazy but deadly emotional. |

ganeshaRules wrote: Demonoid - Riders Of The Apocalypse Death, with the core of Therion. They're working on new material, the only problem is that the drummer lives in Australia now, ![]() According to the update on the 5th of January (http://www.myspace.com/demonoid), there might just be a new Demonoid album in 2009. Let's hope! Last I spoke to Kristian he was really wanting to do some gigs too. (We where hoping to get them to play with us on our adios-sweden gig last year, but the drummer was in Australia, :/) .:c:. |

Melek Taus - "Expulsions from the realm of light" is fucking brilliant, sadly enough, that's all they did. :/ .:crast:. |

I know this one and you're damn right! Awesome album! IT REALLY NEEDS TO BE REVIEWED HERE! That reminded me of Text formed by ex-Refused. They did only one album (self titled) that defies categorization and disappeared... ![]() Must chek the rest of your list, sounds interesting. |
