Continuing the tangent from the other thread...
Here's the NME's list. Good albums, but best of the decade? Meh.
Check out the Libertines' stuff though, they're pretty good. And Pete Doherty's solo album is also worth listening to.

I've listened 5 o 6 Libertines songs. I don't like them. Not my cup ov tea.

I'd have to have a real think about this, but albums by Sonic Youth, Bob Dylan, Porcupine Tree, Radiohead, At The Drive In, Bright Eyes, Sigur Ros, Gorillaz, Dalek, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Einsturzende Neubauten, U2, Muse, REM, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Interpol, QOTSA, Ulver and The Flaming Lips would be contenders.

With you on Sonic Youth, Porcupine Tree, Bright Eyes ("Cassadaga" is amazing), Gorillaz, Muse, REM and the Flaming Lips. Don't know the other stuff, will check it out.

Well, given that metal is my favourite type of music, I'd probably say the same answer...

That said, I'd like to throw in some jazz or something, although I'd have to do a big recap before I chose anything. For some reason Gilad Atzmon's Exile keeps springing to mind...

It's a toss-up between Ágætis byrjun and Takk... by Sigur Rós. Both albums just nuke the shit out of everything else I've heard.

Nick Cave or PJ Harvey non-metal wise I guess. Never really checked out Sigur Ros.

My most listened to album of the decade is either Frances the Mute, Kezia, Terraforming, or The Deafening Twilight. Otherwise it's probably about a 30 way tie.
