Name bands that have great overall discographies. In other words, bands that have never put out a less-than-good album. (This mainly pertains to bands that have released five albums or more) My picks: Motorhead Tankard Amon Amarth Bal-Sagoth Summoning Dark Tranquility |

I know I'm gonna get shit for this, but: Sonata Arctica. Abso-fucking-lutely. Then... Rage, possibly, although there's some stuff I haven't heard yet. |

Hmm, do you mean consistently above average or consistent as compared to their earlier works. In my opinion all of Porcupine Tree's discography is above average, but a few albums aren't as great as the others. Other mentions go to: Opeth Coheed and Cambria And also I have a soft spot for everything Disarmonia Mundi have put out. Agree with Amon Amarth and Dark Tranquility too, but maybe TOO consistent if that's possible. Kind of gets bland since all the albums are pretty much the same kind of thing. |

I meant just consistently good overall. I would agree with you on C&C if they hadn't released Good Apollo Pt. 2... Don't get me wrong, great album, but it's mediocre compared to everything else they've put out. |

What's cool about Grand Magus is that their style have shifted dramatically as well, and they've kept delivering top flight stuff. |

Jethro Tull released a good album every year for like 11 years from 1968-79 so I'd nominate them. Slough Feg, Nevermore, Neurosis and a bunch of others too. |

In their 6 released songs Noenum have never had a stinker. ![]() I would have nominated Taake or Drudkh but their latest releases are the most disappointing things I've heard this year. |

/\ Don't know why, it's not like they went hip-hop. Voivod are my pick. Listening to Infini now and even with leftover riffs they're brilliant. |

Voivod are my pick. Listening to Infini now and even with leftover riffs they're brilliant. The Taake is just bland. It sounds similar to older stuff, but with all the nice leads cut out. The self-titled relies too heavily on riffs that don't develop and can't sustain the whole song. And Drudkh just haven't evolved enough. |
