great acoustic/folk from the 1972. worthy to check out if you're just in the mood for some peaceful, semi-depressing acoustic/vocal music.

I've heard it being praised to no extent, so much that I had to check it out even though this isn't my cup of tea at all, and I hated it. It certainly requires the listener to be in a certain mood, and I'm almost never in that mood. The vocals are annoying.

Also, Elliot Smith. I just don't get it. In fact I don't get this singing with just an acoustic guitar crap at all. Sometimes I feel metal desensitized me too much, then I say "fuck it!" metal kicks ass.

I really like some dudes just singing and playing but definitely not Nick Drake/Elliot Smith stuff. They sound listless and bored with what they're playing and it's no fun at all.
