Post subject:  What Do Bands Usually Eat When They're On Tour?

I know this is a weird question, but I often wonder how most bands (particularly metal bands) replenish themselves while on tour. I mean, unless may be they're Metallica, I doubt they have the money to hire a gourmet chef and have their own private kitchen/dining room in the back of their touring van. So, it would seem to me that they'd probably be eating a lot of pizza, McDonald's, Burger King, etc. (or may be at whatever dingy cafe they can find in the area). Not really what you'd call "healthy eating," if that's what they do.

I know Slayer usually has their roadies buy a truckload of chips and soda pop for them while they're on tour.

When I was in an Elvis tribute band I did a 2 day tour stretching from Cambridge to Lowestoft, and I ate Chinese takeaway.

Whatever they can afford from the nearest takeaway/all-night shop. I recall having to buy some tourmates breakfast that consisted of two litres of milk, some plastic cups and spoons and those little packets of cereal. Considering they slept on the bus I don't think they minded that much :P.

It's typically like you said mainly fast food especially for touring locals, though the bands I've talked too have an affinity for Doritos and Ramen.
