Post subject:  How percentage of your music listening is dedicated to Metal

There have been many discussions on these boards about people listening to Metal, or to be more precise not listening to Metal.

I'm curious as to how much the local community listens to Metal?

For me it's probably 95-98% of the time.

There was just a thread like this made not 3 weeks ago made by myself; but I voted, anyway :).

75%. A fine ratio I've found over the years.

I voted 25% but if you don't include music I listen to while reading then probably more like 50%.

I listen to metal 90% of the time. That 10% of listening to other kinds of music is just enough for me to not get tired of metal.

It's almost impossible to get tired, the vast amount of sub-subgenres is amazing. There is a kind of metal for every mood.

Although I agree with you for the most part, it's always possible that someone may not like/love every sub-subgenre. This might cause them to not find a certain genre in metal that fits their specific mood which in turn may cause them to look elsewhere. But I do admit that I'm nitpicking at the moment.

Metal might have a lot of subgenres but the only good ones are doom, sludge and heavy metal.

10 to 25% depending on the moment.
Metal has been the basis for my love of music and remains a (family of) genre(s) I regularily come back to. But there are so many fishes in the sea...

It's useless. It would end like "it's a matter of tastes"...

If you don't like death, black and thrash, then you're denying the essence of metal. It's easy to comprehend, doing a little research and analyzing the unicorns, dancing and sexy sweaters.

Nu, Math, Core-influenced and Grind are the only things I don't like about metal. I even like things like Manowar, Motley Crue and Dimmu Borgir from time to time.

Those genres play too fast which ruins everything that's appealing about metal.(!!) Same deal with power metal.
