Post subject:  Bad gimmicks or ideas that went wrong
I'm actually looking more for certain band gimmicks or promos that cost the band a lot, or that went from being a novel concept to a complete disaster either due to bad reception or lack of acceptance. What are some bands that lost the plot and relied on a gimmick for an album or promo and had it blow up in their faces? Have the band ever completely recovered from it?
