My brother lent me the following three Devildriver albums: The Fury Of Our Maker's Hand The Last Kind Words Beast I listened to them with a wary ear yet found myself liking them. HOLY SHIT FUCK. FUCK ME WITH A BADGER! That's right, I like Devildriver. I'll understand if you want to vomit the contents of your last meal now. Good ol' fashioned meaty metal with lots of tasty riffs. Vibe's quite good. And Dez's voice was quite acceptable. I think I will buy these albums. |

I remember seeing them when I was 15 and just being in the pit for the entire time. Decent rage music is you're hormonally developing but crap metal if you are into more brutal stuff |

They're not that ragey. In fact they seem more At The Gates "Sluaghter of the Soul" era than The Haunted self titled on the spectrum of rage.* *Not saying they are anything like ATG/The Haunted but the comparison in terms of rage seems apt. As for brutality I like most kinds of metal except Black Metal which I tried and never worked. Hell just the stuff I've listened over the last two days: Dark Tranquillity Dimmu Borgir Gamma Ray Gojira Iced Earth Illdisposed Kalmah Kataklysm Lamb Of God Psycroptic Slayer (I'm lucky I can listen to metal at work). And the last few CDs I brought High on Fire - De Vermis Mysteriis Kreator - Phantom Antichrist Onslaught - The Sound of Violence Overkill - Electric Age Lamb of God - Resolution Paradise Lost - Draconian Times Soulfly - Enslaved |

You kinda listen to the same stuff, which isn't bad but there is always room to make your library a little bigger while still listening to classic shit like early Helloween, Onslaught, Dark tranquillity the stuff you really like. Are you into Bolt thrower? |

Big Bolt Thrower fan. Generally prefer my DM to be early 1990s - Bolt Thrower, Atheist, Edge of Sanity, Carcass, Morbid Angel, Pestillence, Malevolent Creation, Gorefest etc. I think it's funny I used to bag out Dez Faffara and Coal Chamber back in the day and now I actually like one of his bands. |

Can't go wrong with Angelcorpse either, and of course Bestial Warlust from Australia. |

DevilDriver aren't that bad. I used to adore them a few years ago, really helped me get into the more extreme stuff. I still give The Last Kind Words a spin now and then and enjoy it thorroughly. And they're actually a great live band. They've been going downhill since that album though, especially Dez' vocals have become even more lackluster than they already were. |
