So I was trying to post up some artwork I did for a friend's band in a feeble effort to reincarante the now forgotten Metal Artwork Forum and it keeps resizing my picture to a tiny thumbnail. I can post OTHER pictures that I have posted before and they turn out just fine like the one below.



But then when I go to post MY picture which is also a JPG and seems to be the same sort of file in every way except a little larger, it gets fucking resized all tiny. I have tried making it a little smaller but no matter what I do photobucket resizes it to this small little thing but not other pictures. WTF IS GOING ON ??? ARG!

If you're using Photoshop, when you save it use the Save For Web function. Anything larger than 512 KB is automatically resized by Photobucket.

When I save album artwork for reviews at 160 x 160 they're usually between 15KB and 30KB, but if I use the Save For Web function it saves somewhere below 9KB (which is the max limit) and the pics look fine.

Here's the thing though, that big asteroid above ...is LARGER than 512k! and even when I get the one I am trying to post below 512 it still resizes it smaller! Just THAT pic for some reason I can post all sorts of other pics that retain their hugeness, I don't fucking get it. I guess my album cover was never meant to see the light of day :(
