Over the past few months the reviews have steadily gotten less and less attention from those that post here? Why is that? In the past month we've covered the following styles: Dark Ambient Drone Progressive Metal Heavy Doom Rock/Thrash Symphonic Death/Black/Power Metal Melodic Death Metal Melodic Rock Heavy Metal Pagan Black Metal Bombastic Heavy Metal Sludgy Stoner Thrash Metal Operatic Progressive Power Metal Stoner Doom Melodic Hard Rock Black Metal Progressive Death Metal Old School Metal/Metalcore Melodic Rock/Metal Some Kind Of 'Core Early Minimalism/Phase Music Technical Death Metal Melodic Hard Rock Instrumental Avant-Garde Rock Epic Instrumental Rock Ambient Metal Death Metal Hardcore Death Metal Motorhead Metal Modern Rock/Metal Progressive Metal Metalcore Melodic Hard Rock/Party Rock Experimental Vocal/Noisy Ambient Power Metal Black Metal Funeral Doom Classic Heavy Metal Heavy Metal Heavy Metal Black Metal Heavy Metal Speed/Thrash Metal Avant-Garde Metal What's not to your liking? Obviously the forum doesn't accurately reflect who reads the reviews, but I find it odd that so many reviews have none, or just a few, replies from those on the forum. Is this forum getting too far away from music discussion?

I usually want to hear the album before making any comment. Otherwise all I would say is, "Nice review Ken, I'll be sure to get this," or "Good one Ken, I liked the samples I'm off to find more of what they have to offer."

Basically the same here, I dont get new albums until months after they are out. I realize its not just new albums being reviewed as well, but most of the time its an album or band Ive never listened to before, and I dont really like samples all that much, I really like to be able to take in an album before making serious comments about it.

I echo the sentiments of everyone else. I read just about every review that is posted here, time permitting, but I can't pick every album up as soon as it comes out. If I don't own something, or haven't heard it for myself, I can't likely comment on it. Make no mistake though, I appreciate the work you guys do, and countless things go on my "To Buy" list because of this site.

Darsombra would definitely broaden your drone views, being that its more sinister sounding than your average drone.
