Just recently saw the Misfits live- they did two sets, the second one Marky Ramone and some friends came out for a celebrity guest slot. It was excellent! |

It was excellent! I didn't enjoy the Osaka Popstar set, mainly because I went to see Misfits and not some cover band (lol irony) regardless of who was involved in it. Misfits were great though! A big wall of fuzz with Jerry's crap awful vocals over the top:

Well I have to say when the vocalist and guitarist that I'd never heard of before came out I was disappointed because mutterings around the venue had been that it would be Henry Rollins. But regardless it was a lot of fun. It was cool watching those guys play some classics, I guess. The Misfits really was just uninterrupted noise with terrible vocals Neato, and Jerry wears ridiculous clothes and makeup better than most people.

Plus Dez looks like Mortiis.
I'd have enjoyed Osaka Popstar a lot more if the Misfits had taken a break then they'd just plugged in another guitar (instead of a 20 minute soundcheck) and done the covers, then went back to being Misfits for the last few songs. I mean they didn't play Where Eagles Dare or Scream.
