The vocal rectification thing is very common. It seems Britney Spears actually got her vocals through 6 harmonizers to come up with whatever you listen on radio. Even with that, it's not even good. But anyway, that bitch was really hot.

What's cool is that now I know those bitches can't even sing. So they have no talent whatsoever and the common argument that "well she has a cool voice" is null and void.

Well, people should have got suspicious of this whole thing when popstars (especially female ones) started getting more beautiful every year. This was the first sign that looks were getting more important than vocal and/or songwriting abilities. Ofcourse appearances can also be manufactured, escpecially when you have a whole crew behind you taking care of that but that's just to show that musical talent was already out of the game.

... and that's why the record industry is loosing money to mp3 downloading. Not because people are dishonest (some of them are), but it's mainly because they're releasing DISPOSABLE music. Teenagers sure can be influenced by image, looks and attitude , but they know it's not very smart to pay $15 for a CD that everybody will be saying "yuck, this is soooooo two years ago" in the near future.

The recording industry should be worried about releasing music that makes people really want to BUY the music, because they really dig the artist. Like we do with metal, like jazz fans do, like classical music fans do.

And that is way fashion trends will come and go, but the metal will live on. In the words of Ronnie James Dio... We Rock!
