I think THIS guy is the one deliberately trying to stir up controversy. Some of his points I do agree with, but he seems to spend more time talking about metal fans than actual metal music.

Oh, notice he mispelled "Megadeth" (errr, isn't that already a mispelling?) in the filename for his Dave Mustaine pic.

Man, I felt pity for this guy and for the few improbable morons who will take this seriously. And sending Ken on him would be just a waste of arguments and words for absolutely no gain. I don't think you or I care about what this person likes and I definitely would not want a person with such mentality on my side of music.

Edit: I kept thinking about it and this has to be a joke. I read some more of the crap he writes on that webpage and this is just too fucked up to be real or serious.

Is it really any different than any one of us here writing a diatribe of how much we hate rap, or emo, or nu-metal. No, it isnt. We just need to realize that we are right and he is wrong because we listen to metal.

The entire purpose of Something Awful is to piss people off. They also have some sort of connection to I-Mockery, so don't take anything said there to heart.

It's obvious the purpose is to piss us metalheads off...you can tell easily by the way he gives absolutely no reasons whatsoever as to why metal sucks. It amazes me how many lines he takes up saying "metalheads are idiots".

all he writes is just lame inflamatory crap that isn't at all original. it would be funny if he mentioned liking a band so everyone would pick him apart for it

I actually found this guy to be really funny. All of his arguments are similar and have no diversity. Basically he was just repeating the same point thruout his essay thinking we metalheads would get pissed off. Haha. We're not dumb, man. Besides, it's pointless getting tensed up by stupid comments like this. You don't get anything out of it.

I'm just gonna sit back now, and listen to some God Dethroned.

I suppose in some time he'll post another one with the "responses" of various metal fans replying to his "arguments". Most of those are/will be probably manufactured by himself but I'd be interested to see what he comes up with.

Seriously, with literally thousands of Metal-related stereotypes available, he failed to pick as much as one and have it come to fruition.
Nope, all he does is repeat "Metal sucks and so do you", "it sucks because I tell so", "I rule and you're dumb for whatever reason", without ever even trying to back it up. Oh man, I'm like, totally bursting out; someone hold my hips, they ache so horribly after all this laughter.

I just hate the whole "omg i hate everything i'm so cool and awesome and if you disagree with me than you're obviously a dope" stuff. It was funny the first few times I read a Maddox article, but now it's getting old.
