Solid Dream Theater album for me. 89/100.

Undeservedly low grade. I generally do not like giving grades to music but this release is very well done and certainly is not the recipient of such a disillusioned marking.

I'd be interested in hearing what you'd give it, then... like I laid out, the songwriting just isn't there for me, and my god if this is a 89 then most of their other albums must be what, 99? I certainly don't think that they have a flawless discography, or that it's unfair to bands to hold them to standards that they themselves have set. A quick browse online suggests people have even accused them of using AI in the music itself, which I couldn't confirm, although I will say that artwork seems suspicious... But such is the state of modernity, that it's very hard to tell for the humble likes of I who are just trying to sum up musical experiences with the written word!

As I have mentioned earlier, I rarely give albums grades, as artistic creations are highly prone to very many diversities in judgements, and can rarely be judged properly, with complete objectivehood. Nevertheless, the general consensus, on the net is that, the album is about 75-78, perhaps an 80, at most. But that really does not mean anything, when so many classics should be given a 500. Which is silly. All in all, about 7 to 10 higher, if that makes any difference, to the overall quality of this release, or any substantial effect, on the listener, or even the reader, and ultimately any broadness of influence on their tailor-made opinions, of whatever species they happen to be.
