I'm glad this thread gave some of the you the oppurtunity to pretend listening to a wide variety of music makes you cool, though.
Comments like this are very uncool.

No, posing for the idiots on this forum with tired "look at my diverse listening selection" posts is very uncool.

When is it OK to call you an "asshole."

My tastes are very diverse, therefore you'll see me defending a lot of music you think sucks. I don't mind, I was once as immature as you. Hopefully you can be like me someday!

You're missing the point. I'm sure I listen to just as diverse a selection of music as you do, but I don't use it as a crutch for everytime I get into an argument. And the sad part is that whenever someone on here does bring up how they "aren't closed-minded" and parades their non-kvltness around people cheer them on as if it were something new, or special.
And trust me, to become like you would be a severe regression.
Did you just read anything I said? Do I use anything as a crutch? Just in case you missed it:
"My tastes are very diverse, therefore you'll see me defending a lot of music you think sucks. I don't mind..."
What followed was a joke, for the record. Now, how does that statement warrant a response of "I'm sure I listen to just as diverse a selection of music as you do, but I don't use it as a crutch for everytime I get into an argument."?
I am not trying to be "cooler" than anyone here, and if anyone thinks I am they're 100% mistaken. I am simply discussing music like you, just because you and I are often on opposite sides of the fence doesn't mean shit. It is what it is. You'll defend your bands, I'll defend mine. Isn't that how it goes? The problem is when people misinterpret words, which has apparently happened with my statements about certain bands.
And I don't even know what "kvltness" means, goddammit!
