This really is a very good album from a strictly musical sense. Even though I dont agree with the religious conclusion the band came up with (as a Muslim ive always though of Jesus as a human so I agree with that part, but the concept of Jesus in Islam is really complex and there is plenty of disagreement over who killed him), I have to admit that a lot of work was put into the whole research.

To be honest I feel that some songs dont even fall under the black metal genre, they just seem too experimental and borderline avant-garde.

Anyway, I like the direction the band has taken, this is their best stuff yet.

Some of the tracks are outstanding; some I skip. I have an easier time with the DsO 'progressive' than this.

Yep, the ending of the album is sort of dull.

This band is simply brilliant! There's an obvious, shouting at you, progressive of the 1970's influence here that seems undeniable and ever so present which makes this album immensely enjoyable for me. I'm late to the game but hey, I came in after all in The Meads of Asphodel arena.
