6. Are you saying this has a 1000 times more evilness (from your movie comparison speach) than real BM? Is this more evil than Moonblood? Or old Darkthrone? Or Vlad Tepes? Or most other real BM band? Important note: cheesy synths are not evil. (Don't get me wrong here though, I listen to "evil" BM only occasionally)
And how can one judge the 'evilness' in music?
Same as how I judge melancholy: the effect it has on the average listener.

BM is the baby of acts like Burzum, Mayhem, Ildjarn, Ulver, Darkthrone... .
Are you serious? These are all second wave BM bands, and Ulver put out only one 'Black Metal' album that had no 'tr00' aesthectics to it. They basically put it out to prove they could produce a more 'grim' sounding album than any other BM band at the time. How's that for emotion poured into music?
How about Bergtatt? True doesn't always mean harsh.

The Pagan Prosperity is slightly different, if you would include dance beats with it and make it cheesier, you get this.
I could put dance beats to bands like Burzum, Darkthrone, or Nargaroth far easier than I could to Old Man's Child. Songs by the aforementioned 'tr00' BM bands are very trance like by nature, with very simple time signatures and transitions from part to part.
Yes, very simple yet played with emotion (at least for Burzum and Nargaroth). I didn't say there was anything wrong with dance beats, I just described what was different on this album compared to The Pagan Prosperity.

i have to say that the production of OMC is the least of my problems with them.. no no.... it's the music itself... too simple, too boring, and most frustrating riffs i've ever heard, and overly it doesn't sound much like black metal in my ears except for a few elements.
Too simple? Minimalism is one of the key factors in most 'kvlt' BM acts.
That is true, but minimalism in arrangements and play is not the same as minimalism in nature. A quick example: take Nargaroth's Seven Tears Are Flowing To The River, it's basicly 14 minutes of the same, and therefore minimalistic in the way you mean it. But into this minimalistic approach of songwriting, Kanwulf forced more despair, melancholy, misantrophy and beauty than OMC did in their entire carreer. So on this surface, bands like Nargaroth, Burzum, Ulver (listen to (for example) the first of Nattens Madrigal, even under the harsh guitar voilence, there is a line of beauty and sadness audible, waving to the front after one minute) completely destroy OMC. And don't say that those bands I mentioned are just a few, because I have far over a hundred of such bands in my favorite list. Emotion is a key element in black metal, this is not present in Norsecore, that's why it sucks. I can judge other metal like this as well, which is why I like Dark Tranquillity and Iron Maiden (to name a few populars).

Let it be known that I am not defending this album by any means, rather playing Devil's advocate. OMC (and bands that sound the same) should not be reviewed from the standpoint of a black metal purist, rather that of a metal listener period. All this genre pigeonholing is stupid and to compare OMC to Burzum is absolutely ridiculous. Two bands trying to get at two completely different things with both their music and ideologies.
The best part is we all know Galder is laughing his way to the bank regardless of what anyone thinks.
You come up with good arguments, please stick around
