well I'm not the biggest fan of black metal, but this album stunned me, especially the drumming by Frost! Until I heard this I had been listening to all the symphonic black metal (except Old Man's Child, who i hate) and this is the first bm record I've heard without all the silly orchestra/keyboards/operatic singers of stuff like Dimmu Borgir. This is insanely brutal, more so than Anaal Nathrakh (apologies for misspelling) and there are some fantastic moments within this album that keep me coming back.

Hmm, lets see, next, try Dark Fortress - Tales Of Eternal Dusk. I think 1349 is so far the first real black metal band you heard, although some might say you haven't heard any black metal yet. I think you'll like Tales Of Eternal Dusk when you check it out. I recommend you not to check out other albums by Dark Fortress yet.

Dark Fortress is 100 times better than 1349! It's more melodic and it creates a better atmosphere IMO.

It's not a funny joke after being repeated over twelve times in the past two or three weeks.

Plus, that wasn't really funny in the first place.

This is some good stuff. I heard some stuff off beyond the apocalypse, and it was OK, but this has a far more punishing, powerful sound
