I can´t believe I haven´t commented on this before. It slays. The exact opposite of shallow beauty like a setting sun over glimmering summer landscapes. This is inverted beauty, on the other side of the art scale. If there ever was one black metal album I could give someone to describe what they would never hear anywhere else, it would be this.

I think they're a classic band more for their influence rather than their, y'know musical talent. Much like Hellhammer. Hey, even Tommy G doesn't like them!

I'm afraid I disagree. Most of their stuff is just plain boring. I don't think anyone would say that their metamorphosis into Cetic Frost made them worse.

No it didnt made them worse, but that doesnt mean that Hellhammer sucks, but whatever to each his own i guess.

I've never been to fond of proto-BM for some reason. I've always found it a receptacle of much filler
