The semicolon indicates that "much the same" refers to both the beginning and ending songs - that is, all the best songs are forgettable. Notice "forgettable," not "substandard." The whole album is nothing special; if you want good melodeath, pick up some Dark Tranquillity. However, compared to, say, Soundtrack To Your Escape, it's pretty decent. That's what it means.
Well, taken in context it seems to refer to the previous songs u mentioned (and said nothing good about). Although I initially thought u just ment that "
both of the songs are much the same"... Anyway, initially or secondiary
(is there a word for this?) how could anyone know u are referring to the whole album there? :|
And I still don't understand how could the "forgettable blaa blaa" song beat the better ones in the beginning? Ofc I understand that for some reason u genuinely liked the song more, but based on the review that doesn't make anykind of sense! I just thought it was a goof!! :x
