This isn't unusual, and no one can really blame the record company. I mean, they sign the band to get an album out there. A new band can't sing the contract and ask for a few months to perfect some more songs. It just doesn't work that way in the business world. Sometimes bands have 8-10 songs ready when they get the deal. Sometimes they don't. I'm sure the next album will be more consistant.

And Never Again has been my favorite song all week!

Well, the EP came out only in 2005. So they were ushered along rather quickly. They began in 2003, I believe, but nothing solidified until much later. Shit, NESS's brother either once sang for them, or sang on a song.

Either way, they've moved fairly quickly and I think they've done a damn good job.

I agree!

To be honest, I've had my favorites, which just happened to mainly be the EP songs, but I hadn't noticed any real difference in overall quality until others pointed it out. If that's what their rushed songs are like, these guys are really going to be great!

I guess there was another song written, too, but they couldn't finish it in time.

I mentioned how Mike sometimes sounds like John Arch to me, so...

...does Never Again remind anyone of old Fates Warning in some parts?

Good album. Not to sure about the vocals tho. Theres plenty of room for improvment here so thats good news for the future. 75/100

Anyone else think they sound like Power Quest with less keys rather then DF??

Yeah that's what I keep saying. Power Quest are like Diet Cellador (the taste of a new generation).

I prefered Mike's vocals on the demo to the full-length.

I agree 100%. The Power Quest comparisons are spot on.

As for the vocals, I love them. I wish there was something more to them on the album, but when you hear Mike live you can really appreciate him more on record.

The album was pushed to be written and recorded from mid 2005 to December 2005. And that was on top of all the shows they had been playing plus they all work and some go to school full time. My brother sang for them when they first started, but then later quit for personal reasons.

I'm not sure. He hasn't really told me if he regrets it or not.

Depends on his reasons for leaving, I suppose.

OK, so I'm hanging out here on some cloud and Helloween's "Victim Of Fate" just played on my iGod. Obviously it's been a good while since I've heard this song because the beginning of it sounds like the beginning of Cellador's "Leaving All Behind."

Anyone ever notice this before?

LEAVING ALL BEHIND
SOME DRUNKEN HIPPIE PLAYING VICTIM OF FATE

Helloween worship? Or plagiarism? :omfg:

Wow, that does sound similar, but I could say the same about a shit ton of other bands. Pure coincidence.

I doubt it's a coincidence, that whole album reeks of early Helloween influence, as far as I'm concerned. Not that I'm complaining. But they must have known how Victim Of Fate sounds.

Btw, nice to see you back Eyesore. Cool avatar.

Helloween and Kiske are in Chris' blood, so I don't doubt you'll see comparisons.

Nice find. But nah, it's not a copy. It's very similar, but it is enough different to stand on its own. Of course it might be that they were influenced by this song, or then it's just a subliminal coincidence.
