Right, it was more a rhetorical question for Soulsociety. Then again, he may have taken exception to my Nevermore comparison.

Because IMO both bands have great songwriting abilities, so saying that both Behemoth AND Nevermore have crappy songwriters is something that needed to be challenged

I didn't say 'crappy', did I? Average is a lot better than crappy!

You did indeed say average, but since both bands rank among my favourites, I read what I wanted to read

Nevermore has quality songwriting. They won't win a grammy for it but still solid as they come.

Yeah you would think but look over the grammy winners over the last few years. Quality there = shit.

I'm Going to listen to this album tonight. I bought when it came out and have listened to it one or two times but can't remember much from it. I hope it's as memorable as Here and Beyond and Demigod. I Will give my feedback later.

After listening to this I must say that the musicianship is as usual top-notch, with Inferno ripping everything apart. As for the song-writing, I would have liked the riffs to have had a little more development. Having said that, development usually means either sacrificing consistency or lengthier pieces that Behemoth is definitely not going for. Nonetheless, there were some songs that were longer than others and could've have had a bit more progression in them. All said, Nergal has said that the more he ages the more he is in love with the straightforward Rock/Metal. I clearly remember him mentioning AC/DC as constantly being on his playlist. Their lyrical content and messages in the booklet are outstanding as usual. These guys are monstrous live too. I remember them signing the Demigod album and giving them a couple of joints to smoke.

Eh, riffs were lacking but the experimentation in song structure towards the album's end more than made up for it in my eyes.

I must add that I listened to this album while doing something else so not all my concentration was on the record. Inevitably, I have missed things.
