Yes, but that still doesn't explain why this has just now become your personal crusade. I realize you've always been opposed to anything NS-related being reviewed here, but yet Drudkh have managed to go 4 years without this type of themed protest (with matching avatar) from you. I think you need to come down off your high horse and realize that metal musicians tend to not be the most savory individuals. I'm sure if I searched hard enough, I would find you praising an album with someone on the roster who's been convicted of a serious offense (i.e. murder). Does that mean that you support murderers? No, just like none of us support nazis. You are pissing in the wind here.

Very different things. Murder may be a mis-step in one's life. If Varg was just a madman who murdered one of his friends I would have nothing against his music being reviewed here. As it happens, he is also a racist a fucktard believing there's a superior race and all the bullshit that comes with aryanism and nazism...
And I'm not saying I've never listened to an album from a band that has racist ideas (Agnostic Front, Pro-Pain) and enjoyed it. I did and I'm not ashamed to admit it. NS bands are a whole other business, those lads are endorsing a political dogma that killed 6 million people just because of their race/religion. That I cannot admit.
And, about Drudkh, ask Misha, Daniel or Charles what I think about them being reviewed here. I've never been cool with that and I never will be.

So nazism is worse than murder? Okaaaay. Do you listen to Christian bands, even though they advocate a dogma that has killed millions? Yes, there are shades of grey, and that's exactly what you're missing here.

Not when it comes to a dogma that is openly hateful.
Shades of grey, my ass.

I don't think Agnostic Front are racist either. They have lots of skinhead support but both from the right and the left side.

They've written anti-immigration sort of stuff, anti-minorities lazing about on welfare, that sort of thing. Not really what I usually define as racist, but pretty ignorant and reactionary to those of us of a progressive turn of mind.

Not sure about Pro-Pain, actually, don't know them so well.

I'm too against any NS bands, but I think we should differ if the music itself is nazi propaganda OR if the music has nothing to do with NS Stuff. E.G. I haven't heard much early Burzum stuff, but what I've heard was just the usual black metal. And the question is, if Varg was a nazi asshole back then - or was he just an asshole?! :D

who gives a fuck, you can't understand the lyrics anyway.

I think I'll probably pick this one up on the cheap if I see it in the bin at the local records shop.

Tsk, tsk, tsk... haven't heard this one yet, but if it's anywhere near as good as Will Stronger Than Death, I'll buy it.
I rather like the "new" more epic-bloodsoaked-battlefield, pagan Graveland better than the "old" evil, BM Graveland. Much more, in fact.
Say what you want about Darken, but he has a knack for writing good music.

This album is by far the worst Graveland i've heard. And i really like the sound they had in Fire Chariot and Will Stronger Than Death (which are not very different albums). This one is missing something.

Not sure if the worst, but really inferior to these two.

Hmmm.
Oh well, there's still plenty of good stuff in Graveland's discography to tap into.
I always felt that the biggest drawback to the older material was Capricornus' plodding drum-work, and the galloping DM found on the more recent albums makes a big difference. Also, the Blood and Iron approach is far better suited to the epic sweeping grandioisty of the compositions.

Looks like he is simply producing more albums than his muse would allow. Slow down.

This is the one I haven't heard. His Viking material you kind of have to jump through hoops to get it, I've checked most bm distros and haven't found one for a price I want to pay.
