Funny mention in the review with regards to the lyrics. We've heard many of those words used over and over again. If we were to have a contest which word would you think was used the most so far....Steel? Sword? Death? LOL! :dio:

And to think Death-Sword of Steel is a combo they've never dared to use.

Yet.

I think i'd listen Sign of the hammer, Hail to england or Into glory ride instead of this one, and treat Manowar as a long time disbanded band, whose last album was Louder than hell.

Louder than Hell is one of the worst metal albums of all time, on part if not worse than Illud Divinum Insanus and St.Anger. The band that recorded Into glory ride and Hail to England were a group of unknown session musicians, to this date no information has surfaced on the lineup some suppose it was the fellas in Omen who disappeared suddenly only to have a gang of primadonna's obsessed with homoerotic pictures of themselves to take credit for the music of the two aforementioned albums. The Manowar cirque 2012 is an illusion, much like God, the holocaust, and DevotedWalnut's Masculinity.

Louder Than Hell one of the worst metal albums of all time? Hmmmm.....there are worse for sure. And that album is actually one of my faves from Manowar!

As for this new one, I like that they ditched the concept/symphonic route ala Rhapsody and went for shorter, more straight forward songs. However, they are so generic that the album really leaves you with no desire to want to go back for more. It's great to see their original drummer back on the skins. But my biggest complaint about this album, as with most other people is Joey's bass sound. That was a real trademark that defined Manowar's sound. Now after all these years of not really changing much, they do this? Bad move! And Eric "Golden Voice" Adams is more like "Rusted Voice". It's too bad that Manowar really thinks this is good. Funny mention in the review with regards to the lyrics. We've heard many of those words used over and over again. If we were to have a contest which word would you think was used the most so far....Steel? Sword? Death? LOL! :dio:

They also forgot to use the word lightning, Odin, or brothers. I know a word they've never known and that would be talent.

I laughed too. I think Steve's riffs on Manowar ought to be site-featured content!

Saw them in 2002 in Montreal and it was one hell of show. Cheesy as fuck yes but hey, it was Manowar so...

Musically speaking, they never been that great either. But what they played was straight pure loud heavy metal with very funny lyrics and feta cheese image. Which I used to like.

Lord of steel is very meh...and the word that is the most used in Manowar's history is without a doubt POWER.

I like old Manowar, but I have no intention of listening to this.

The retail version of this album is supposed to have a different mix and another track not on the edition out now. Not sure if it will make any difference or not!
