Oh really?

I may not be a black metal fan, but the reason for that is the fact that it's generally so crappy.

if it were generally so crappy then not so many people would be into it... everyone his own taste, black metal is not yours, so please quit mourning...

I know. That's why I said agree to disagree a few posts ago.

There is no such thing as agreeing to disagree for one can't disagree to disagree, for then he would agree. Btw, daniel, what is so bad about the production, just that the vocals are too high in the mix?

That and the guitar sound is very weak and dull; plus the constant snare beats without any other drum sound make me go nuts.

I've heard that Blackdeath is THE best band from Rusia; maybe only the old music is bad and the new stuff is amazing; but what kind of integrity does the band have releasing somethin so bad....

Best band from Russia? No way.

I didn't find this album so overwhelmingly shitty, but still it's far too generic and repetitive to get a frequent rotation in my stereo. Actually, I've listened to it only once since I got it...
Yes, the production kinda sucks, even by Black Metal standards. The synth drums are terrible, and the vocals suck beyond belief, they sound like someone's screaming and moaning random Russian obscenities over a broken phone or something.

Anyway, whenever in need of decent BM from Russia, stick to the Blazebirth Hall bands (Branikald, Forest / Vargleide, Nitberg, Ravendark). Far from essential, and nothing terribly original, but generally better than this disappointing album.

You're proving my point  .

Anyway, thanks for all the recommendations, I'll be sure to check them out soon.

Thanks for the comments Lord Jotun.

You're welcome :)

By the way, sorry everyone if I kinda bumped up an old thread (I know in some forums it's not tolerated), I was just checking some older reviews and came across this one.
Funny... even these guys were slightly better when they were known as Draughwath...

Don't worry Lord Jotun, intelligent posting (like yours) is always welcome, even if it's in older threads. Keep posting good stuff and I will never complain, in fact, I'm grateful that people like you post in my review threads; thanks for the feedback and keep posting!
