That was a really good review. I think I'll check this out after I scrounge up some more money.

I found a little tacky that they decided to reunite on 6/6/06. If you have the urge to put out amazing art, you do not need any artificial dates to do so.
A better Dimmu Borgir with more emphasis on malevolence and intensity than theatrics and over-the-top. Solid, but not amazing.

As a comeback album this isn't bad but looking at their past catalog makes me think it could be better if they had stuck to the more aggressive sound of Ad Noctum and UDW. Still, it's solid.

Agreed about the first bit, but as I tried to convey in the review, I think they're much more respected than Dimmu as well. Their debut, 'Moon In The Scorpio', is the only album they've done that's really amazing, I think, much more classical-based and interesting than this later Dimmu-but-cool stuff. Worth checking out, though, and a band anyone serious about their Black Metal should know.

Haha, very cool analogies in the review. I listened to this album yesterday, I found it pretty enjoyable.

Offtopic: why does Alex appear as anonymous?

My first impressions weren't particularly high, but I'm liking this more and more as I listen to it... uh... more and more. :P
