A better Dimmu Borgir with more emphasis on malevolence and intensity than theatrics and over-the-top. Solid, but not amazing.
Agreed about the first bit, but as I tried to convey in the review, I think they're much more respected than Dimmu as well. Their debut, 'Moon In The Scorpio', is the only album they've done that's really amazing, I think, much more classical-based and interesting than this later Dimmu-but-cool stuff. Worth checking out, though, and a band anyone serious about their Black Metal should know.
