Holy crap, I didn't even know these guys had a new album out :omfg: I loved "Northern Rage" to tiny little bits. I will check this out ASAP for sure.

I'd have to check this one out. I like the full length debut the best so far. In the six years I've been with Metal Reviews I have never used an "Album of the Year" logo, though the new Flogging Molly surely deserves it!

I have Northern Rage too, but I didn't really like it. Maybe I'll dig it out and give it another try, and then I'll try this.

If you find one at a reasonable price let me know I won't pay $50+ for a CD regardless if it's an import.

To be honest I have never anything by them before. Would this be a good album to start?
One of my friends told me they would appeal to Heavenly fans (one of my fav bands).

I just downloaded this album and it's probably the best album I've heard so far this year and no question the best album yet from this band! I agree with the reviewer word for word practically. I'm a quasi-Kai fanboy and this absolutely blows Land of the free 2 and Majestic right out of the water IMO.

Just some kick ass POWER METAL pure and simple. :dio: :dio:

yep this sounds exactly what land of the free ii should have sounded like indeed. however, with kai hansen producing this album it might not be that strange that the sound is very reminiscent to gamma ray.

To me this release sounds like a restoration of the glory years of both Gamma ray and Running Wild. I think it's a great CD but 94 is a bit too high IMO. I would score it around 88-90 max.

The review I think is spot on except I disagree with the reviewer for catagorizing this as a balls to the wall speed metal affair. Aside from the title track and "Remember the Oathe" this is mosty mid-tempo stuff. It doesn't seem as cosistently fast as their previous two albums to my ears.

I just pre-ordered it from CD-Universe (for under $13, not including shipping), though I suspect it's going to arrive at The End for a reasonable price too.

It is really worth the "Album of the year" tiltle.
