I'm going to check this out. I love my doom, and have more patience for it than most.. sitting through hour long Bunkur and Boris tracks does that to you. I think 30s should be reserved for truly bad music, not music that you weren't mentally prepared for. However I can't disagree until I've heard it, thanks for at least bringing it to my attention..

Yeah, haha, I love long pieces of music. I mean, sometimes when you think you're ready to listen to it, you really aren't, and you end up turning it off about five minutes in.. but other times it just plasters you to the floor so you lie there and just concentrate on the music. Well, the music or the feedback wail. 8)

Same with some of the fifteen minute + BM tracks out there, or the Fantomas' Delerium Cordia.. I'm rarely in the mood but just occasionally it's worth doing, and it's far more rewarding than listening to an album of five minute songs, I think.

I prefer listening to 83 minutes of grind than 10 min of funeral doom.

Yeah, I'm with you. Drone or funeral doom doesn't do it for me. I like other subgenres of doom, but I just really don't see the interest in it.

Although I do like ambient. And whatever the fuck Ulver is now.

Sorry for bringing back a really old thread, but I just wanted to say that this is SEVERELY underrated.
