Yeah, good review. 70/100 for me though, it has the elements of Deicide which I love, just not to the extent that I wanted.

It got me to revisit Scars of the Crucifix again, which I had prevoiusly written off as only having one good song (the title track). Listening to it again, the songs are quite aggressive and some, The Pentecostal and When Heaven Burns are pure American Death goodness.

This is probably the 10th time I've typed this in the past couple of days, but nothing beats Stench for me.

The debut kills everything else they've ever done imo, it's probably my favourite death metal album ever. I'd say Stensh is in 3rd place behind Legion, but only just.

I'd score this higher, high 70s. There are enough changes in place to keep things awesome, and the intensity is fierce in places. People are just moaning about this because it's not Stench pt II...

I concur with Dylan, although I'd put it in the high 60's rather than low. Also, the line about male nipples brought a smile to my face.

I am no hardoce Deicide fan, but I do own a couple albums and this one is no different but still pretty damn good.

Id give it roughly a 75 or 76.

I love the introduction to this album. In fact I think it's my favourite part of it.

It is a good album but a bit anticlimactic given that the last one was great.

This CD sounds "Rutan'd". Did he produce it?

+1 Although the self titled is just so evil.

I ordered The Stench Of Redemption on vinyl on amazon the other day (only £7 :P ), I almost also ordered this album... but due to the score I dunno if I ever will. I also once had scars, but I sold it again - but i was thinking about buying that one again on vinyl... which is better, scars or the new album?
