i dont see how this is deathcore. i listened to a couple of songs and they didn't have the really obvious OMFGBREAKDOWNS that i associate with Job For a Cowboy (then again JFAC's full length didn't have them either) and Beneath the Massacre and stuff.

EDIT: nevermind, i just listened to Job for a Cowboy and this DOES sound a lot like them XD

i gave it 50/100... might have rated it higher if the guitars were hearable underneath the vocals and drums

It's a terrible Cryptopsy album, but quite alright if you put that fact aside.

50?! A 50 would mean it's 'Medium'. This isn't a medium album. It's a fucking terrible one. I think 'Your Own Risk' more than sums it up.

Meh. Those vocals would be slightly less of an abomination, true, but it wouldn't get better just because it's not coming from Cryptopsy.

HEY!

I can see & sense the huge dissap in the review but if the rest of the album is anything like "worship your demons" I´ll give this at least a 70.

Cryptopsy is coming to Omaha! With Black Dahlia Murder, Vader, and Kataklysm... I am excited.

Too bad you are going to miss the chick from Cryptopsy, since she is not in the band anymore...

This album is such a piece of shit. What the fuck were they thinking. I doesn't even sound like cryptopsy. I'll go listen to the worm albums!

See now? If some unknown band did this album the reaction would be much more subtle.
I guess you are right but all I'm saying is that having Cryptopsy on the cover clouds peoples judgement about it somewhat.

3/10. If you compiled all the good parts of the album, you could come up with two AMAZING songs but those parts are sparsely, stretched across 40 or whatever minutes and it blows.

Is this the first deathcore review?

Yeh, my thoughts are fairly similar to our man Zad's, if a little less extreme. I thought the first three songs were decent though, hence the slightly higher score.

Why do people hate JFAC so much? When I first heard them I thought they were just another regular boring death metal band and let them be. As for Zeth, it's more that fans of Cryptopsy expect Cryptopsy-level quality. This is Dicktopsy-level quality.

Well, they got big via Myspace. Using the internet to promote your band? Blasphemy!

But yeh, I really don't understand why they, or deathcore as a whole gets so much hate. Better "the kidz" listen to that than Fall Out Boy, yeh?

If only JFAC could become the gateway band to Behemoth, Nile and the likes than it would become acceptable.
