Turis Fratyr didn't really grab me but this review is more than intriguing. I will give this a try.

Sweet. I interviewed the singer yesterday and will try to get it posted later today.

I just checked the bands myspace page and loved what I heard so I ordered Sagas and Turis Fratyr. Can't wait for them to get here!

Nice review, D. This band's been on my check-out list for a while, must have a listen...

I want to get this album badly... I've been waiting for it for ages and this review makes it sound as good as I thought it'd be.

I agree, the melodies are out of this world. This is a must-buy.

Excellent album. I prefer the 1st one though (the Japanese edition with "Nach dem winter", from the Demo).

I should give a few more spins I suppose, maybe the melodies will grow in me... For now, "Snüffel" is my favorite. Mana is great, but would be even better with vocals :)

One of 2008's best albums. Simply breathtaking. Every track is a lesson in epic. And the video for Blut Im Auge is one of the best metal vids ever made (although admittedly there isn't much competition).

That video is one of the best ever and it easily is the most beautiful looking metal video I've ever seen.

It sucks how many bands don't really bother with their music videos, normally just them playing in a warehouse or something. Or like Lamb of God's latest, just them in the middle of moshing fans. Yawn.

That is a great video, eerily similar idea to the "For the Sickened Voice to Hear" video though.

IMO, if there's one thing Dragonforce get right, it's their videos, funny stuff, especially when they're trading solos.

I'm late in getting this one, but man am I ever glad I got it! The review and the comments above have summed it up nicely... album of the year, epic, breathtaking, etc. and I haven't even absorbed half of the cd yet. Like was written in the review, catchy but complex!

While the first cd was good and there are a few songs I regularly play off of it, this one is so good it's just mind boggling! If you liked Ensiferum or Moonsorrow, you have to check this one out.

So far, tracks 4, 7, 9, and 10 are my faves.
