Good review, but I'd have rated it ten points lower. This band has really come down from Goremageddon's Carcass worship. You can truly notice the desperate search for a unique sound.

This is the worst album out of their whole discography.
Slaughter and Apparatus was a lot better, don't understand why they had to go so melodic with this thin sound.

The sound is a bit thin but I like this album. I see what you mean about falling between two styles but that's something I quite like. Sometimes the melodic bits get in the way though.

I hadn't heard Aborted before I saw them live last year and thought they were great. Have only heard Goremageddon and this one.

I like it too, I don't mind a drop of melody in my death metal. I agree it's not very memorable though and I don't feel the need to play it too often, but when I do it's an enjoyable listen. As for sheer brutality, there're still plenty of bands to do it well, I'm not particularly bothered that Aborted decided to go another way.

I didn't hate this, despite it being as Daggers said the worst thing they've done. They're becoming the Arch Enemy of Brutal Death imo, relying on popularity over progression. OK but forgettable album, all in all, meh.
