Lord Belial is not a band which releases masterpieces... but rather a band that has been around for 10+ years and released album after album of enjoyable melodic black... unfortunately, as it was said, they've always been overshadowed by the likes of Dimmu and Marduk.

This album is just another good outing from this very consistent and underrated melodic black metal band, not too much unlike Mystic Circle (although not as keyboard-laden.. at least not since the 90s). For those who don't know the band, I'd start with Angelgrinder then Nocturnal Beast and then this one... after that, work your way around their discography. A must from this band is Enter the Moonlight Gate... it's one my favorite black metal albums... Lamia is one of the most amazing symphonic black metal songs I know.
