I'm really liking this album. :) Definately more blues based this time around. Some parts remind me of stuff on "Flick of the Switch". "Stormy May Day" has some great slide guitar, nice to see that on this album. "Rock and Roll Train" is also a classic styled upbeat rocker. I also like "Skies On Fire".

Not bad at all. Aside from this new album the only AC/DC related thing I own is the DVD Plug Me In. So aside from that DVD and hearing the obvious classics on the radio I haven't really given the band much of a listen. I bought the album out of curiousity and because I was itchin to buy something and it was there, anyways, first track Rock N' Roll Train blew me away, I hadn't heard it at all until popping in the album. Unfortunately for me, the first song on the album is my favorite. Other highlights include: Big Jack, Anything Goes, War Machine, and Black Ice. Solid album overall and I agree with the reviewers score.. Now to buy the back catalog.

Start with Bon Scott.

ACDC is just cool Hard Rock. Furthermore it doesn't exclude to be a metalhead AND a Hard Rock fan. And escpecially AC/DC are one of the truest Bands of all time, and they will never betray their Fans. Hail True Rock!

TheTrueRockWarrior316 :D

PS.: AC/DC are just cult.

what?

Yeah, I don't want to be like a fool but it seems to me like AC/DC is one of those bands that gets a pass for making shitty, repetitive music on every album because they're "true" or whatev.

But that's my opinion. they used to be my favorite band.

I wonder if you would score this higher now Marty months later? My feeling this is a seriously good album, in the mid 80s at least.

I love this album. I still think "Black Ice" is one of the best tunes they've ever written.

I grew tired of it pretty quickly, myself. Not that I ever thought it was a great album in the first place. It lacks the energy AC/DC used to have and the riffs are just not good enough which is a huge problem when it comes to that kind of band.
No more than a 60/100 for me.
