I checked this band out looking for some sludge and yeah this review is pretty dead-on. The intro is great, the first few songs are alright but it gets old and seems forced. Grenades isn't a bad song though. This isn't even really bad music it just isn't that interesting.

This album was number 1 on the the Decibel Magazine top 40 albums of the year. I'm curious now, I'll have to give them a listen.

That magazine has such a hard-on for sludge. Last year's no. 1 was fucking Baroness which was nothing to write home about and now this album is no. 1? This album is not a great or special album.
