Decent album, but definitely not worth a score in the 80s IMO. One or two great tracks, but several ho hum mid-paced "where's it going?" tracks also.

Great lead parts on here though, the soloing is way better than it used to be, but the songs aren't the best you will hear. Probably a 60s score for me.

Bah, the riffs are more complex than first listens reveal. Add that to the kickass songwriting, and we have an album that deserves a score in the 80s.

Bah yourself, sir!

Well, I've listened to it quite a few times... actually I liked it a lot more on the first couple of listens than on more recent ones.

Maybe it's a bit unfair to call it only a decent album, it's probably better to say a good one. Some excellent stand-out tracks (Devolution, Odyssey of Frustration), but also too much filler (Offenders of the Throne)

An 86 is a perfect score. The old german bands are here, and have some of the best thash releases out there. I love this album, and it has gotten several listens since I bought it a few weeks back. Good review Zad, and an appropriate score.
