You know I was worried that I wouldn't enjoy this because I was disappointed with NSNV so I gave this one a chance and I actually like it. It doesn't have that same feel as albums like Legacy Of Kings or Renegade but it still is nice and heavy for my tastes.

So an 80 for me as well.

I like this album a lot so far. I like the heaviness, the tempo changes and over all direction. It may not be as "True" metal as their earlier releases but then again why not offer something a bit different? :dio:

I thought it was an average album by their standards. Only 2 or 3 really good songs IMO and the single "One More Time" isnt too bad as well. 70/100, although I think they're capable of much better than this.

You guys are so safe in every Hammerfall review lately. I thought No Sacrifice, No victory was awesome. I know everyone has different opinions, but it seems almost as if you just give them a better than average review because of their reputation. Maybe you really felt that Hammerfall has stagnated a bit, but I personally feel there have been highs and lows. Renegade, an album you guys gave a 98, I think is their worst album. I just can't believe how close we are in other opinions and how far off we are with one of my favorite bands. I have yet to decide about this new one, but I like it so far. I try to give an album a month to really understand whether I like it or not and to what degree. I have a sneaking suspicion that this album will be played a lot on the river with fireworks and beer this summer. Probably, "Bang your Head", I would assume.

Well, speaking as the guy who wrote the last two Hammerfall reviews, I can tell you that I gave them what I honestly thought they were worth. Didn't write the Renegade review, and don't agree with it - Hammerfall have never been a genius band to me deserving scores of 90+, just a solid one. Agreed that Infected will get a lot of plays this summer, however.

Good album nice to hear them trying something different but still very much a Hammerfall CD, also the opening tracks really rocks. I do prefer Dream Evil's "Bang Your Head" though.

Ive always prefered Dream Evil's take on the genre over Hammerfall, though I can only listen to either in limited doses. It sounds like this might be an album for me to check out, if they are taking on a new direction.

Holy Shit this has godawful production. I've heard better local demos.
