i was actually disappointed with this. the lyrics went from being awesome an awesome concept about the crusades to goofy 70s throwback stuff like "Ol Girl". "Hijack the Night" is a pretty cool song but they he sings the title 64 times in it sours me against the album right away. i dunno i probably have to listen to it more since there is so tasty goodness on the album but there's a lot of stuff that bugs me about it too

I can't possibly be in their head, but it seemed to me that the goofiness and "dumbing down" of the lyrics was intentional, a break from a "complex" concept and suitable to the 70s garage sloppy rockin'.

Good live band, but anything recorded by them falls flat for some reason.
