i really love Paul Rodgers's voice, been listening to Free a ton lately, so i might check this out although i've never really listened to any Queen.

I'm a little bit disappointed. Some songs are good like "Say it's not true" or "Some Things That Glitter" but the whole album lacks May's guitar. Only in the soli, it's there, but there is too much music, that's just not queen. I think, Chinese Democracy from GNR is more old Guns n Roses, than The Cosmos Rocks is Queen, or? And sometimes, Chinese Democracy is more Queen than The Cosmos Rocks...

...something is missing...

Of course something is missing, the voice of Freddie Mercury and the bass of John Deacon. That is one of the reasons why I wanted to point out how I felt it was more Paul Rodgers/Bad Company sounding than Queen and why it was important for them not to name this just Queen. Still, I always felt that Brian May was more of the rocker of Queen and that is why this album is more straight uo good ole rock!

With a title like Cosmos Rockin and after hearing the great title track I had very expectations on this album. Unfortunately it's straight downwards from here, the rest of the albums more or less uninspired ballads that just are flat and boring to me. Say it's not true and C-lebrity were good tracks, but they can't save this boring album that is without doubt the worst album since the 80s (yes, i got them all and greatest hits).

Why is there not yet a GnR review? I heard much bad about that album, but compared to Queen's effort its a masterpiece! It's no Use Your Illusion, but one of the better albums of this year and I could give it at least 85, but this does not deserve more than 65 and that is perhaps even an over quote.
