I need help of the MR's Unofficial Thrash Team.

Where should I start with Tankard, there are so many albums. I've been in a Thrash kick lately, so I think its time to listen to this veterans.

You can't really go wrong with Tankard... Chemical Invasion and Beast of Bourbon are two of my favorites.

They're very consistent, so you could literally start anywhere.

In addition to what Thomas mentioned, I would recommend Beauty and the Beer, always been one of my favs.

Zombie Attack/Chemical Invasion split is probably the best place to start, not expensive and you get their 2 first albums. But Beauty and the Beer, B-Day, Beast of Bourbon, or Thirst are all good.

My personal favourite is The Morning After, just for the title track alone.

+1
And in Zombie Attack there's my fav song... Empty Tankard!

But you can't go wrong with Tankard.

I would start with "Best Case Scenario". It's rerecorded tankard classics. It'll give you a good mix of all of Tankards best. Than when you like a song you can get the album it's on.
We want some beer! (Empty) Tankard is the best!

Best Case Scenario is so pointless...

The songs don't sound any different, either than the fact that Gerre can't yell like he could 20 years ago.

I don't know, I thought it was a pretty cool idea. Its better than a run of the mill cash grab greatest hits. Just imagine if every greatest hits was a collection of modern re-recordings, the results would be interesting if nothing else.

I agree that it would be cool for some bands, but not for Tankard. Like the Destruction one I agree with, but Tankard? Hell no. All the songs sound exactly the same, except at times Gerre is a bit different. The thing I truely like from Best Case Scenario is the artwork and the Medley.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. I just think the concept is good and offers something at the very least interesting for those who've already heard all those songs before. You can't say that for most greatest hits collections.

I hear you, but for Tankard I'd rather just have an old fashioned greatest hits. :) But I understand that you are commenting about music in general.
