Excellent review, Charles! While I do enjoy many retro thrash albums (though it seems weird calling Torture Squad a retro thrash band, since they've been around since the early 90s, if I remember), as you say, Torture Squad distinguishes themselves through a more eclectic and original sound, helped in part by the death metal overtones. I also just think that they're good songwriters: They can write great riffs that will make you headbang, but they are also adaptable enough so that their songs are distinguishable.

I loved 2003's Pandemonium, and I do love this album. Y'all should check it out, even if you are tired of the whole retro thrash movement; Torture Squad definitely have their own sound. 87/100

After listening through the third track, I like this and it may sneak its way into my top five thrash albums for this year.

The riffs are so awesome and that's where I feel most retro thrash bands fail. The vocals aren't spectacular but they really work with the music.

Thanks, Brahm!

I don't think this is going to make it into my top 15 of 2008, but if I was making a thrash top five it would probably squeeze in there.

I'm not too big on Thrash Metal, but I love bands like this one and The Crown. :dio:

I've falled in love with Twilight for all mankind. The rest of the album is really good, but my god, this song slays.
Sneaking into my thrash top five.
