The songs on here are catchier than shit. I'll admit it took me a while to get into the band, due to the unorthodox (at least to me) spoken-word delivery -- but I love it, now.

Thanks for introducing me to these guys, Zaddo.

Nick Cave is a freaking genius, no matter how you look at it. He's done a few lesser albums (Nocturama) but most of his stuff is awesome, including the "side-projects".

DLD! is a freaking good album but I still prefer Abattoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus, personally. But it seems that every fan has his/her favorite. Mine has to be No More Shall We Part by far... but any album with the Bad Seeds is great. Like Zad said, so far from the soporific drivel a lot of guys of his age release.

This one's nice but not up to Cave's classics.

This can't touch the classics but it's the best he's done in a while. Today's Lesson, Hold on to Yourself and the title track are all some of his best works. I never really gave Lotus Eaters a chance.

My favorite of is Tender Prey or Let Love In. And Grinderman is amazing; hope that he releases a DVD for the live shows.

I still haven't given this a proper listen. I got a hold of this after I was out of my Nick Cave phase, so it didn't get a chance really. This has reminded me to give it a decent listen. Good review!
