Nice review Ben this is my favorite Magnum album after on a storytellers night.

Yep, one hell of a great album. Catley is just a monster. His solo album (Immortal) is one of the best "solo" albums from well-known vocalists I've heard in a long time.

And I like how Magnum still releases great stuff nowadays like 2004's Brand New Morning and especially 2007's Princess Alice and the Broken Arrow.

Yes, mine too. I discovered Magnum with Wings of Heaven, a great album but more comercial, but was a acustical live version of The Spirit in Days Of No Trust single than makes me fall in love with Bob's voice and go back in their catalogue.

This album is incredible. Their main drawback is that the tree big standouts (Soldier Of The Line, The Spirit & Sacred Hour) can make you think the rest of the album is just ok, when every song is great in their own way, but shadowed by these masterpieces.

My fav song of the rest of the pack is the ballad, The Lights Burned Out. Bob voice really shines in this one.
