Nice Zad! Maybe it's the Neil Young fan in me talking, but I really like "Smile". :)

Eh, maybe it'll catch me differently next time. It's a great album, definately. I nearly said it was better than Vs but caught myself in time, that's almost certain to be the next pick from the PJ list for me (if that's cool?).

My favourite PJ album with Yield and Ten.
Deserves a classic status.
Nice review btw...

Yeah, sure go ahead. I would like Vitalogy though.

Sure... if I can do Yield. :P

Cheers Mr Son, thought you might be happy to see this.

I'd give it high 70s or low 80s, like Adam. Not even close to a classic, but very good nonetheless.

And yes, fadeouts are super lame. For me a big part of the song is working out a good way to end it.

I dont like Pearl Jam that much but for some reason i really like this album Vader's voice goes really well with the ballads and the overall feel of the album.

PJ's singer is called Eddie Vedder.

Nice review, I can see where you're coming from and, to a certain extent, I can't disagree with what you say. However, for me this is a love it or hate it album. I've scored it 60 because I am a massive PJ fan but was let down by this one; so I hate it as much as I can hate a Pearl Jam album!

By all means, the Neil Young influence has never been more noticeable than on No Code and I always think progression in an artist's music is a good thing but this album didn't excite me in any way.

For me, I found it too whimsical in comparison to previous outings and, Hail, Hail aside, the songs as a unit just aren't strong enough. Each album up this point had at least 3 classic songs (for me they are Alive, Even Flow & Black on 10; Go, Rearviewmirror & Leash on Vs; Corduroy, Satan's Bed & Better Man on Vitalogy), but there's not one song I'd want to listen to time and again here.

I was pleased with Yield and Binaural but Riot Act and Lost Dogs (admittedly Lost Dogs is an 'outtake' album) caused similar indifference in me for this amazing band. As for 'Pearl Jam', it's the only album of theirs I don't own because I heard it once and didn't feel compelled enough to go out and buy it. Hey, how about a review of 'Pearl Jam'? I'd appreciate it.

Ha I knew that to.

I was being as asshole saying that Lucys joke was not funny.

Does every post I make need to have an explanation attached?

When your jokes don't make sense, yes.

I like Ten. I should get more Pearl Jam.

I was not making a joke, just making fun of another one.

I love Pearl Jam and haven't heard anything but a few tracks and Ten. I really need to check out Vitalogy at least.
