OK, so why did you Power Metal guys ignore this? No excuse, NESS, no female vocalists here!

Ok... I had to download a shitty vinyl rip to make sure this really was the Martyr I enjoyed in the 80s and got the album stollen from me... It indeed is. Listening to it, even with the crappy sound, brought back so many memories I almost shed a tear.
That said, this band's music is the living proof that the 80s really were a golden age for metal. This is epic heavy metal the way it should be done! It's still rawer than 99% of today's production but still manages to be melodic and develop more ideas than the best 10 PM albums from last year. This band always reminded me of Judas Priest 70s era, they share the same spirit in the crafting of their epic songwriting. So, okay, it's not up to the Metal Gods (but who is?), the vocals aren't as good as Rob's and the guitar wouldn't have suffered a bit more refinement yet, this is a killer album which only real flaw is its length (28 minutes or so).
You guys wanna hear real power metal, check those dutchies!
