Needless to say, and as evidenced by my comparative quote, I loved this album. I loved by how they went to basics, stripped everything down to the core, and yet managed to deliver a stunning result, one powerful album, which, as they self professed, should make people in the audience cry while listening to it.

I'm with my mate Alex on this one. Best Black Metal album of the year so far. I love the feeling of melancholic rage throughout the album, and with three fantastic albums in a row, WITTR is establishing as the best USBM band nowadays. Congratulations!

Maybe I'm just not getting it, but it seems a massive step-down after the previous albums, and not in a good way.

I don't really get this band. Yet.

Strange  , you usually have good taste. Go to a forest and listen to them in the night, while you stare at the moon

I'm with Dago on this one... I've heard so much good stuff about this band yet I just don't get it. I've tried Two Hunters and Diadem too before this new one... and I still didn't get it much at all.

I'll try it with a different setting like you suggested, though. That's what it took for me with Ulver's Nattens Madrigal. :)

Agreed with alex. I would even go so far to say its the band's best work to date. Great album.

I enjoy this album but I don't know my solid feelings towards it. I can't rate it and I can't rank it. It needs a lot of time to digest.

After listening to Two Hunters and not really enjoying its frilly atmosphere, I really like this album.
