I don't want to rain on your parade, Alex... but you do realize that Hatesphere and Callenish Circle started at just about the same time Arise did (early 2000s), right? Carnal Forge has been around a little bit longer but not by much. Arise may not have as many albums but they are indeed part of the whole "Gothenthrash" sound.

Not bashing on you, though. I do enjoy the new Arise myself. It's been done before (and even better, too). The Beautiful New World was a slightly underwhelming album but this one is much better and sounds more like their old self. Still typical of the genre, though. As for me, I enjoy it a lot and I think it's worth picking up for fans of the genre.

EDIT: I don't count CC's '96 release "Drift of Empathy", since it's badly produced and doesn't really sound like what Graceful Yet Forbidding" introduced.
