Believer are such an underrated thrash band I wonder if it's because they are Christian.

Most likely. I may actually check them out someday, although I'm still skeptical about how well Christian lyrics can work in thrash metal (let alone death/black metal - although, being that I'm not much of a DM/BM fan anyway, may be that isn't even much of an issue for me). As I once mentioned to Zad about a week ago, power metal and classic heavy metal seem like more appropriate mediums for Christian lyrics.

Becoming the Archetype isn't that bad.

I've heard Ultimatum is also good. Are they the band that covered Wrathchild or was that another Christian band?

In addition to the generally less negative tone of these genres, I think another reason why heavy/power metal are better outlets for Christian lyrics than thrash/death/black metal is because Christian Metal is (almost definitively) more lyrical than secular metal. If a Christian band really wants to get their message across, it seems to me that it would be most sensible to stick to a more lyrically focused genre like heavy/power metal, rather than a more instrumentally focused genre like thrash metal (not that power metal can't also be instrumentally focused, of course, but I think you get the idea).
