Oh man, I can not wait to hear this. I have a feeling that this will by be my fav death metal album of 2009.

I too await this album with great anticipation.Xecutioner's Return was amazing,and of course I love their old stuff.Santolla is awesome,my fav song by the band is Contrast the Dead,but I Don't Care is up there.

Their latest ep was your introduction to the band?
Did you live in a cage or so?

Sorry to dig out this old thread but I have a question.

I'm not usually a death metal person, especially not recent death metal, but I bought Xecutioner's Return and loved it's old school sound. Spun it quite a lot, actually.

Is this new one just more of the same? I listened to the myspace tracks, and they sound a whoooole lot like XR. I appreciate the old school sound, but I don't think I have money to spend on a death metal album that sounds exactly like one I already have. I don't like the genre enough.

So, opinions? Is there enough tasty new meat on there to warrant a purchase?

It's a lot like XR but also different at the same time. It's slow, heavy, and crushing. Wern the speed does pick up, it is also quite awesome. I love Obituary, one of my favourite bands, so I wholeheartedly recommend this. As well as Obituary's entire discography...
