Awesome album indeed!

Like I said on RYM, that's what's so damn great about blackened thrash. The two genres support each other. The music is heavy on the thrash but the black metal is there to keep it from becoming monotone like so much (retro) thrash feels to me. Songs like Heat of Battle, for example, are very intense and blasting which would usually turn me off after a while but the thrash riffing keeps it from doing that.

That said, I'm biased, as everyone that knows me will tell you I'm no fan of thrash in general. But when some black metal is thrown in, it just works out great for me.

Yeah... I love blackened thrash, and this may very well be one of the albums of the year for me.

This album didn't do much for me after one listen.

Give it more time... I do understand that this may be a hit/miss band for some.. Complete hit for me though... This has everything I love about the style

Being a Black/Thrash enthusiast I wonder why I have never checked these guys out. I have been aware of their existence and I love Deströyer 666, so there is really no excuse. Thanks for reminding me. I'll grab this album asap. Nothing beats a good blackened thrashing :dio:

First listening, and liking it so far, but you're right, its quite repetitive... it's like German Thrash on steroids :dio:

This is fantastic. One of my albums of 2009 also.

Good review, Thomas!
